 Easy upload photos by e-mail

 Uploading your photos to your LostOnEarth.net profile can now be easy accomplished by sending them by e-mail. Send photos from Outlook, Hotmail or any other e-mail client to photos@lostonearth.net with your personal pincode in the subject field. Within five minutes your photos will be automatically stored in your own profile. Using this feature, you are able to upload multiple photos, up to 20 Mb per e-mail.
This tool has been developed to easily upload one or multiple photos using standard e-mail.
This is how it works….
- In your personal LostOnEarth.net - ‘MY DETAILS’ section, a pincode can be found.
- Start a new email message using your favorite email-client (Outlook, Pegasus, Hotmail, Yahoo etc. ).
- Send the email to: photos@lostonearth.net
- Enter your, 8 digit, pincode in the subject field.
Make sure you start with the pincode and the pincode is correct !!!.
- Type an existing, or new, photo album name after your pincode in the subject field.
- If you don’t type a photo album name, your photos won’t be linked to a photo album but they will be added to your profile.
- Attach up to 20 Megabytes of photos to the email.
Make sure your email-provider accepts large attachments and emails.
- Enter a short comment, concerning the attached photos, in the body of your email or leave it blank.
- Send the e-mail !!!
When your email has been received by the LostOnEarth.net mail server, it can take up to five minutes to process your email.
For this way of uploading and processing your photos you must be aware of some important constraints;
- Your account must be activated and must not be disabled.
- You must have an active adventure.
- Individual files may not exceed 8Mb.
- Your entered pincode must be correct.
- Your email provider must allow large attachments and sending oversize emails ( >2Mb).
TIP:
Don’t delete your photos off your camera until the e-mail is succesfully processed and the photos are added to your profile.
IMPORTANT:
Be careful with your personal pin code, don’t send the pin code to other people !!! That may result in unauthorized people uploading photos to your profile!!!
